New Beginnings

Hey there!

I'm writing this post with great excitement as it's finally official.
Not sure if some of you remember but a while back, I
wrote something about starting up a new project this spring.
I also said that I would later give an introduction about it.

So this is it! Together with a friend of mine, we are launching a
new online/offline operated fashion showroom in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Yet while at the set-up phase, we have decided to go ahead
with updating friends and others with the progress and
process of the set up. We're doing this through our blog that we
have finally published today.

To learn and know more about the whole concept,

Hey ya'll!
So this Easter was exceptionally + hands down one of the best
in years. Had my mum and brother come visit me here in Gothenburg
from Helsinki. Had a lovely time.

In addition to going to the Nigerian Art exhibition I mentioned in my
previous post, we toured around the city and enjoyed some
really amazing sun shine.

The whole Sunday was spent in summery Borås (see pics).

Familiar Beats, Fashion and Arts from Naija

Amazing singer and songwriter, Lánre.
Colors, fashion, beats and arts all from Nigeria.
Last Saturday I attended the official exhibition opening for African
Arts at the Gothenburg Världskulturmuseet (World Culture Museum).
Mainly dedicated to displaying Nigerian culture, the event
featured amazing music, performances and a cute fashion
show coordinated by some Nigerian youths in Gothenburg.

So intrigued I felt positive goosebumps all over with a
sense of feeling very much at home. Amazing! No matter
where in the world you go, you'll always find Nigeria.
There's no running away from us. We are everywhere :D!

With that being said, the exhibition is open till
30th of November so if you happen to be visiting Sweden,
do make a visit!

P.S. Actually made small effort to make out a cool outfit for the day
but forgot to take any pictures. Will try to scratch some outfit inspo
in my coming post ;)

Things That Make Me Tick

Accessories, colours, street style, spring and summer time.
The common denominator would be = things that make me tick.

In fact it's amazing how I just seem to have given my camera rest
for a while (ever since Nigeria) yet now that the sun has made a comeback
it's time to hit the streets for inspiration.

These picture are taken from the weekend. The weather was amazing
as was the company as well. This is just a sneak preview of a few outfit inspos
for the springtime.

Winds of Change

It's almost been a month since I moved to this city and
I'm finally feeling very much at home. I'm very glad about
my decision.

Took a day to walk around my exquisite neighbourhood
and just had to take a few pictures. I live by a mountain called Ramberget.
It's one of the highest points if not the highest in this part of the city
and the view from the top is pretty awesome as you can see from the 4th
picture. However, it all looks so much better live.

This sister is truly blessed.

An Update

Hey ya'll!

It's about time for an update on this girl's life. Don't even know
where to start from since so much has been going on.
Perhaps one of the most significant updates is that i'm back in Sweden
yet this time in Gothenburg. Yes, finally left Borås in search of a fresh new adventure
within the fashion scene. It's a life altering project that I'll have to leave for another
time to tell more about since it's a work in progress. At the same time,
i'm currently finalising on my thesis and looking forwards to graduating
this year. Good stuff!

As I normally like keeping my text short, I decided to compile some Instagram
pictures of some lovely moments so far. About Instagram: I'm
finally really happy that having it works on the Windows phone. Don't have too
many pictures yet however, to have a more frequent
update on what's going on in my life, do check out here

A Tribute to the Late Mandela

Some images from last weekend's concert held in memory
of Mandela, one of Africa's greatest minds.
Enjoyed lovely food, music and company.
Got to admire some vibrant patterns and styles
infused with a great sense of edge. I especially love the dress
of the lady just above this text. Yes, and the dress I'm wearing
in the very first picture is one I had designer and customized in Nigeria.
More of these to come ;)
